Bass Fishing
My site is dedicated to my passion for the outdoors. Follow my season as I post touranment results and what it took to achieve them. Also enjoy the picture gallery that will be updated everytime a worthy fish is caught. If I'm not out prefishing for a tournament you can find me fishing for lunker bass. Here in Minnesota any fish over 5lbs is big, but I'm after the 6lb and bigger fish. They are very rare, but that's what makes it worth the time and effort pursuing them.
What's New
I've made big changes for the upcoming year. I sold my 21' Triton with a Mercury 250xs motor and purchased a 2010 Tuffy Esox Magnum 17' with 60hp tiller. From everyone I talked to and articles read it sounds like it will be a fishing machine. The biggest advantage is being able to use it more for family activites with my two young boys and wife who like to tube and spend time on the water doing more than fishing. The deeper area in the bottom of the boat will allow them to play and not fall right off the edge and into the lake. The only thing I'm going to lose is speed, and on our area lakes that's not going to matter. I'm very excited for open water and to get this boat wet. It's going to be equipped with a Minn Kota 80lb 24volt trolling motor, a Humminbird 1197c side image depthfinder, 8' Pro Power Pole, Minn Kota onboard battery charger and more. Also on this seasons agenda is to start chasing muskies. We have some very good lakes within 40 miles and I'm really looking forward to the hunt of trophy fish.
