I've started taking video footage and putting together some neat videos of fishing with my oldest son Andrew. Also some tournament footage and fun fishing videos.
March 2011
Have the boat ready to go. Dual power poles on the back wired together to both run off the remotes and switches at the same time. Have a switch at the console and the bow panel, and two remotes. The HDS 10 and HDS 7 are networked and can share the Structure Scan on the transom or trolling motor. I installed a switch at the console that will shut the power off to the Structure Scan boxes to save battery life when not needed. Just finished installing a 1/4" pad and new carpet on the front deck. The install went great and between turns of help from my 2 year old and 5 year old it turned out great!!! Also finished up touching up the rock chips on the trailer with black touch up paint. This really made the trailer look like new again. One other neat item was adding a new drain plug that runs to a switch on the console. You just turn the dial open or closed and it operates the main drain plug in the back of the boat. This is a time saver and back saver. It's also nice on that one day a season you forget to put the plug in and instead of loading the boat and pulling it out of the lake to install the plug you just turn the dial.
January 2011
Getting ready for the upcoming season. Can't wait for open water and to start chasing bass again. I just made a deal on a 2005 Skeeter ZX250 bass boat. I'm planning on making the trip to get it January 29th and then the fun of getting everything exactly how I want to use it. As soon as I saw the color scheme I was very interested. After hearing the history of it and how it was taken care of it sealed the deal. Below is the boat I'll be chasing the bass in for the upcoming season.
